Louise and Sébastien met in Barcelona in the spring of 2021. Louise was living there for her ManaMa studies, while Sébastien had planned a short getaway with friends — one that turned out to be slightly more life-changing than expected. The bar was called Belchica, a name it proudly lived up to, attracting plenty of Belgian chica’s and chico’s looking for a little freedom during lockdown.
Belchica and Belchico spotted each other briefly that night, but when the clock struck midnight, the party was shut down. As if fate had already made up its mind, they ran into each other again the very next day. Numbers were exchanged, and what followed were months of back and forth messages.
Leaving a blonde girl alone among Spaniards felt like tempting fate, and Sébastien knew that. So he decided to travel back to Barcelona, right in the middle of Louise’s July exams. Louise warned him she only had time for a quick ice cream date before returning to her books, but that “quick” date turned into a six hour conversation neither of them wanted to end. That moment marked the beginning of their shared adventure.
And that is exactly why they are already looking forward to their wedding weekend in 2026, as if being catapulted back to that beautiful spring day in 2021. Bringing together Belchica's and Belchico's once again, to celebrate, laugh and dance together under the Spanish sun.
